Warm-up

Our goal at the beginning of class is to make the warm-ups fast-paced and practical. Every drill you learn tones your body, improves mobility, and rebuilds your body.

Learn the basics and hone technique

Jiu-Jitsu is a sport, self-defense system, and fitness program. It relies on leverage and technique, rather than strength and size, which allows you to defend yourself against bigger, stronger attackers.

Practice in a safe and controlled environment

We do not require sparring or competition in the class, but we do create a safe environment to practice your new techniques if you so choose. We end each class with positional sparring or timed competition rounds.

Always assume that your opponent is going to be bigger, stronger and faster than you; so that you learn to rely on technique, timing and leverage rather than brute strength.
