  • At May River BJJ, our Kids Program is designed to build confident, capable, and respectful young athletes—on and off the mats. Open to children ages 5–14, we offer both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Kickboxing classes, giving kids a well-rounded martial arts experience in a fun, structured, and safe environment.

    Through age-appropriate training, students develop discipline, focus, coordination, and problem-solving skills while learning effective self-defense techniques. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu teaches leverage, control, and calm decision-making, while Kickboxing builds cardio fitness, balance, and striking fundamentals—all without relying on size or strength.

    Beyond the physical benefits—such as improved agility, flexibility, and overall fitness—our program emphasizes confidence, resilience, respect, and teamwork. Kids learn how to set goals, overcome challenges, and interact positively with others, both on and off the mat.

We offer a combination of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Kickboxing classes six days per week, making it easy to stay consistent, set goals, and train on a schedule that fits your lifestyle.

    Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu develops strength, mobility, balance, and problem-solving skills, while teaching practical self-defense rooted in technique and leverage rather than size or power. Kickboxing delivers a high-energy workout that boosts cardiovascular health, coordination, and stress relief, all while building powerful striking fundamentals.
